REVIEW: Hands Free Angel Sleep Sack by @jaxs_and_co
Price: $69.99 for winter weight (2.5tog)
What we love;
– beautifully soft organic cotton quilting inner
– very roomy around the legs – great for my frog-legged tummy sleeper who likes to sprawl out
– fold-over mittens give the option of hands in or out
– gorgeous prints
– reasonably priced
What we love least/would change;
– wrist cuffs are super wide, they’re even loose around my wrists
Coming into winter & with Ari quickly growing out of his 6-12M Ergos, I was delighted to find a great wee NZ brand that could provide what I was looking for at an affordable price. Given Ari is only 6 months old, this 12+ months-sized sack is still very large on him but it will easily last him through to when we transition him out of a sleep sack.
My first impressions were that it was SUPER soft and roomy, with natural fibres (cotton & bamboo) ensuring it is breathable & great for temperature regulation. The zipper can open from the top or bottom which is always great for night time changes!
Jaxs & Co also offer a really uniquely designed Swaddle to Sleeves sleep sack which, had I known about earlier, would have been prefect when Ari transitioned from his Love2Dream to arms out. The design can convert from a standard cocoon style to an arms-out but hands still enclosed style, keeping bub still feeling snug & secure. This style also comes with bamboo textured fabric covering the hands to prevent bubs who suck their hands feeling wet.
After trawling the website, I really struggled to find where these sacks were made. Once it arrived, I found that the label states these are designed in NZ & made in China.
A super unique & well-designed range of sleep sacks. The range caters to all sizes from newborn to 2+ & offers both 3-seasons & winter weighted sacks & prices start at $44.99.
Well recommended – a great combo of a sleep sack that is well designed, comfortable & well priced, not to mention gorgeous prints!!
