What I love;

What I love least or would change;
👉 As with many thirsty inserts, particularly bamboo, these inserts to take a while to dry
I was so excited to give these nappies a whirl & they did not disappoint. Given Ari is only 7 months, I used only the large insert, not both, & we remained totally leak-free with the nappy also being very trim. While I would usually stuff my nappies that function as either an AI2 or a pocket (especially as baby can feel more wetness with bamboo/cotton), these inserts have the option of coming with an inbuilt stay-dry fleece layer which I LOVED as it meant I could save stuffing time by just snapping the insert in place.
Functionality aside, I was really impressed by the Ecobubs website & Amelia’s transparency around her manufacturing processes. While her Originals range is manufactured right here in NZ, the Essentials range is made ethically in China. After researching various Chinese factories & working with them on sample products, Amelia was able to find one that not only manufactured a quality product but aligned with Ecobubs’ values in terms of supporting their workforce & paying them well for their work.
Remember that article I did on NZ-made vs. NZ-owned? Here’s a prime example of one of the many reasons why overseas production is often necessary – supply could just not meet market demand without the production level & cost only possible by manufacturing overseas.
